Hello!

Just wanted to share another little Hedgie card I've made recently! : )

For this card I used my Penny Black " A Buzz in the Air" rubber stamp ( Did I mention how much I LOVE these hedgehog stamps??? lol)

a pre-packaged card by DCWV from the 'Josephine' collection, Marvy watercolor pens, colored pencils, pebbles glitter chalks, stickles on the flower and bee's wings, and a die cut 'hello' from the 'Everyday greetings' cut and emboss die set for the cuttlebug.

The first picture shows the card before I decided to add some orange to the bee's and a couple of Prima flowers with stickles in the center to dress it up a bit more...

Since I had taken pictures of both versions...I figured I might as well post them both! lol!

For this card I used Penny Black "Peek A Boo" Hedgies ( Hedgehogs and snails...the perfect combo for him!! ) my pebbles glitter chalks ,gel pens, colored pencils, a couple of dragonfly stickers given to me by a friend at SCS and the card base is from a pre-packaged box of cards by DCWV 'La Creme' ( Love these things!! ) Oh! And some clear-ish stickles for the snail trail! lol!

Hello!

Just thought I'd share my Christmas card for this year.

For this card I used SU's "Come to Bethlehem" and the sentiment stamp is by "Eureka stamps".

Both are embossed in gold and I used a sticky gem for the star's center as I really wanted to keep this years card as simple as possible without any coloring involved. : )

My inspiration for the color combo was the candy cane.

And
The inside sentiment reads :

"Giving thanks for God's

gift of love

and the joy we share

through Christ the Lord".

It is also from the Stampin Up "Come to Bethlehem" set . : )

Hi All!

Just wanted to share another card I made for my sister in Florida!

For this simple card I used a really cute flamingo stamp by Viva Las Vegas stamps, a premade card by DCWV , sunglasses stamp by Stampin Up ( Sparkling Summer) , colored then coated with glossy accents...and a "smile" sticker for the corner.

On the inside I used a sentiment stamp from ??? and the flower is also by Stampin Up.

Amuse Mermaid and Snorkel Boy

Howdy!

Time for another card!!

I made this card for my sister who just moved to Florida with her family!

This is supposed to be her and her DS playing in the ocean! lol

I am so happy to finally have this mermaid stamp!!!

The last time I went to Amuse they were sold out!

Thankfully I found someone selling her mermaid stamp on SCS! Yay!

Even better...I got her for just $2!!

I bought a few others as well..like the snorkel boy...'Cause $2 is really hard to beat!! lol

The other supplies I used are CTMH Meadow maker punch for the glitter fish...pop dots, stickles on the mermaid's tail, glassy accents on the snorkel boy's mask and mermaid's 'ahem...'sea shells' ...and the sun stamp is from the "Just Beachy" stamp set by SU.

Check out this cool verse I came accross in my daily reading today:

Isn't that awesome! I don't remember reading that one before!

Just wanted to share a card I made for my DH's aunt, Mary.

For this card I used my su stamp set "Time well spent" and a few random punches...I wanted to make this card very cheerful and colorful as it is an encouragement card....but...hopefully I didn't overdo it!

Just wanted to share a card I made a for my sister a while ago using another one of my favorite Paper Bag Studios rubber stamps; " Laugh "

For this card I used glossy paper and stamped the image with black ink. I really like the black and white photo look of these stamps!

Next, I layered the image onto DCWV patterned card stock and went from there...The inside sentiment is a clear stamp by Hero arts ( another one of my Fav.s! ).

Birthday Card for My DS Brent!!

Hi All!

Just thought I'd share this card I made for my DS Brent's Birthday!

He plays guitar, so I went with this stylized guitar image by Inkadinkado...Other supplies I used are the Diamond plate embossing folder by Provo craft , Sizzix Originals Star die, word window punch by Stampin' up!, random circle punches, and "Circle of Friendship" by Stampin' up!. The stamps I used on the inside are ; "You Rock" by Inkadinkado, "Happy Birthday" is CTMH, and the Bible verse is an older stamp set by Stampin' up! "Say it with Scripture".

I really love the way the diamond plate embossing looks with the shiny silver paper! It's so cool!!!

I absolutely LOVE these images!!

Although they would look great colored...I chose to leave them black and white because I love the way they look like an old photo...

For my first card I used the stamp:

This card is really simple...but I prefer it this way...the image and sentiment alone are so powerful I feel...

Thought I'd share the card I made for my dad this Father's day!

For this card I used my new SU single stamp "Sail Away" and the sentiment on the inside is from an older retired SU set "Schooner".

I used a reverse mask to create the sunset in the background and stickles on the sails and the waves.

I also used my hounds tooth cuttlebug folder to create the textured layer behind the main panel.

Mother's Day Cards

Hello All!

Here are some of the cards I made for Mother's day ...most were CASed directly from the SCS gallery!

First...For my Mom ... I made this card using Stampin' up!'s "Nature Walk" stamp set.

Additionally, I also made her a set of four almost identical note cards for her to use...

Next, for my Grandma and Sister , I made these 2 cards... also using "Nature Walk" by Stampin' Up! - my watercolor crayons, stickles and sentiment from Hero Arts.

Lastly, I made this sweet hedgie card for my DD who just recently became a mom herself! I wanted to let her know what a great job she is doing!!

The stamp I used is "Hang on Hedge" by Penny Black.

To color I used my Pebbles glitter chalks and Marvy watercolor pens.

The edger punch is by Fiskars.

Felting is a very fun craft wherein you use wool roving and needles to create soft sculptures and more...

Easter Cards 2011

Hello!

I wanted to share the card I made for Easter this year:

For this card I used my new Stampin' Up! "Every Moment" stamp set , the clear mount version.

(Which I bought on a whim at the last minute! I am Soo happy I did!! I just love this set!)

I stamped and embossed each bird in cattails image on every card , then water colored each one...

I then trimmed and layered each water colored bird panel onto a trimmed sheet of card stock I had run through my cuttlebug using the Swiss dots embossing folder...

I made 36 cards in all...& every one was made with love!!

I also printed out Isaiah 53 to add as an insert into each card...

...and lastly I cut out a bunch of pretty butterflies to act as seals for each individual envelope using my Cuttlebug and butterfly die...

Who has believed our message

and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

He grew up before him like a tender shoot,

and like a root out of dry ground.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,

nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

He was despised and rejected by men,

a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.

Hello!

I made this Hedgie card for my grandparent's 65th wedding anniversary...

The supplies I used are:

Penny Black: Park Bench Affair

Stickles, Watercolor pens

DCWV Painted Posies stack

Diamond glaze

Pebbles Glitter chalks.

It's hard to tell from the photos...but I actually stamped the image twice and cut out the couple and bench from one panel and then adhered it to the top of the main image to add depth. I also colored and cut out extra flowers and layered them on top too...The ladybugs also have a nice coat of diamond glaze for their hard shells ..:)

MY FIRST SOCK MONKEY!!!

Hello All!

I have always wanted to make a *real* sock monkey...SO ...when I came across this DIY sock monkey kit...I snapped it up!

I made the entire monkey all in one day ...all by hand!

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be...I made a few mistakes and would definitely do things a little differently next time ( like use the white floss instead of the dark brown floss to sew up the legs and tail for example...) but all in all I am quiet happy with my Monkey!

I think I am going to name him "Dexter" ...and make him a pair of "glasses" out of wire. He still needs a hat also...

I may go back and put more of a smile on his face as well...

I will post an updated picture when I feel he is 'complete'..: ) lol!

Sweet Hedgie Thank You Note

Hello!

I created this card for my DS Steven.

For this card I used a single stamp from the clear acrylic stamp set by Penny Black entitled "Wonderful Day" and a sentiment from the SU set entitled " Curvy Verses".

I also used a ton of stickles, a tiny heart punch, my meadow maker punch by CTMH for the glittery butterflies , and some crystal effects on the ladybug as well.

I have really fallen in love with PB hedgehog stamps!

They are really fun and very easy to use!

I don't think you can tell from the pictures but I did pop dot the feet and face of the hedgehog out to add some interest...Well..I do hope you've enjoyed my card!

Andy Warhol Pugs

Howdy All!

Just wanted to share this Andy Warhol inspired 'Puggy' thank you card I made for my mom and dad. They actually have 2 French Bulldogs, but they love all kinds of doggies!

(We have 2 Pugs... )

Anywho...I had seen quiet a few of these Andy Warhol inspired cards in the gallery at SCS ...so I thought I'd give one a try...And...since I have had this cute pug stamp for quiet a while..I figured I'd give him a try too!

Once I figured out the right sizes for layering it all went together quiet well...

I just stamped the pug on a variety of colored cs , then used my punch to cut them out ..all about the same...next I layered the punched puggies onto a larger white cs square...then all of them onto a black base, and lastly onto the card front itself...easy peasy!

For the inside I used one of my favorite stamps from SU's "Man's Best Friend" that says 'Bark Bark Bark' with "Happy we're friends" in quotations underneath...I edited it to say "Thank You" though instead of "Happy were friends".

I made this card for my DS in the Navy who plays guitar ...

The supplies I used for this card are:

The Buffalo : Toyboxart

Gold Star: Product used for nail art!lol!

I got a bunch of these on eBay because I thought they would be nice to use on cards...

To make this card...I just stamped the buffalo and embossed in brown, sponged on the background, and pierced all along the outside, then I 'aged' a recycled heavy duty piece of CS that looked remarkably leather like by wadding it up and then smoothing it back out again...Adhered the layers together and then added the gold star.

Just wanted to share this thank you card I made for a business associate of my DH's and his wife.

I don't usually use ribbon...but it seemed to work well on this card..so I went for it! lol!

Hello all!

I wanted to share another card I made recently for my Mom ...who loves turtles!

I confess I love them too!

For this card I used SU's Inspired by Nature set for the grass...and the sweet little turtle is from SU's Nature's nest...I embossed the turtle onto a sheet of DSP that I thought looked remarkably turtle like and cut him out...I then sponged some rust ink on him to add some depth...then set him aside.

Next I used old olive ink and clear EP for the blades of grass ( I first inked my stamp with the clear embossing ink ...then the green ) . I then sponged on the sky and was nearly finished! I thought it still needed something though...so I used a very neat paper piercing punch I have from a friend on the pif threads at SCS ( Thank You Amy!! ) to liven up the one corner ...Lastly I attached the clip on the other side and then decided that was enough! It's so hard to know where to stop sometimes!

Overall ...I am very happy with the way my little turtle card came out!

I wanted to try another water colored card so I decided to go with a different Koi fish stamp from my collection.

I love the way they look water colored!

I tried something a little different this time and added a shadow under my fish for some depth.

I am learning that while water coloring...don't give up...just keep playing around with it and definitely let it dry before giving up on a project...!

All in all I am very happy with the way my little fishy turned out! lol!

So...to make this card I first stamped and embossed my Koi fish in black.

I then made a mask for my fish and stuck it on top in order to create the shadow underneath...

Next I cleaned my stamp and then with a very dark blue wc crayon that I had dipped in water I colored just the outer edges of my fish. Then I simply stamped this under my embossed fish covered with the mask.

Next I colored my Koi with aqua painter pens and various wc crayons.

I then used a broad brush to paint on the water...after which I played around with filling in the fish's shadow until it was a color I liked...Lastly I used a very dark green wc crayon dipped in water and applied directly to my plant stamp and stamped it repeatedly onto my card front, reapplying watercolor paint as needed...

Hello!

Just wanted to share my 2010 Christmas cards!

I went with a quick design this year that didn't entail a lot of coloring or layers. I used my Penny Black poinsettia stamp and a small peace stamp that I have had for a while and simply gold embossed each onto a heavy duty beautiful red card stock. I love the way these turned out!

I made 30 in all.

On the inside I simply used my computer to print the verse I wanted to share ( 2 Corinthians 5:19a from the Amp. Bible ) onto vellum and adhered the verse to the inside of each card...

Watercolored Koi Fish

Hello! Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Just wanted to share a card I made for my DS's 23 Birthday. I stamped and embossed the giant Koi fish in black and used my watercolor crayons, pencils and aqua painters to create this scene.
The fish stamp is by Jim Stephen , the plants at the bottom are by Rubberstamp Ave. , the chop is from Stone house stamps and the Kanji is by Inkadinkado.
I really enjoyed making this card and I am anxious to use my watercolors again very soon!

Hello! Just wanted to share the card I made for my Dad's Birthday which was yesterday! I had a hard time getting the lighting right to take the pictures , but figured I would share it anyways! I * think * it looked a lot better in person...
The supplies I used were Take me out to the Ball park by Stampin Up , a patterned paper scrap, staples and one of my favorite things to use whenever I can : photo corners!

I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but I tried to get an aged look by sponging on Memories Art print brown, and Memories Sand inks on the main image panel and the card base also...Well..I hope you've enjoyed my card!

Hello All! My sister just got a new Dalmatian puppy recently so I made her this little card to say "Congratulations!!"
I had these fold over note cards that I had been wanting to do something with...so I drug them out and came up with this card.

I made 2 sets of Halloween cards this year...
For the first cards I used a few different Stampin Up stamp sets...Twick or Tweet, Autumn Apparitions, and Extreme Elements....

For the second batch I used Twick or Tweet, and the sentiment "Happy Halloween" from Autumn Apparitions and I also embossed the ghosts and sentiment with white EP....

In each card I included a computer print out of the following 'punny' jokes:

Q. What do baby ghosts wear on their feet?
A. BOO-ties!

Q. What does the invisible man call his parents?
A. Transparents

Q. What happens when a ghost gets lost in the fog?

Hello! I was playing with my SU Island flower die ...seeing how well it would cut felt...and came up with this sweet little card for my grandma. It was really easy to make...I just cut the flower parts...attached them together with a large pink pearl brad and adhered the flower to a piece of DSP layered onto my card base. This color combo really reminds me of her since she is always making strawberry jam & jelly! YUMMY!

Happy Birthday Owl!

Hello All! I have another paper pieced card to share with you! This time I used my new SU 2 step owl punch to create a happy birthday card for my mom!
I really had a lot of fun making this card as well! I started out just playing with the owl punch and the card came together rather quickly after that...I remembered that I had a cute cupcake punch by Ek Success that I had never used , so I knew I wanted my owl holding a cupcake for sure! lol!

I stamped a branch for my owl to stand on ( Unity) and sponged on the clouds behind using the technique I shared before using a scalloped circle punched piece of scrap paper...I didn't like the branch just hanging out of nowhere , so I grabbed my wood grain background stamp and stamped it on the cards edge and colored it in with chalks. Next I cut a piece of SU DSP with a row of houses on it in a wavy pattern and attached it to the bottom of the card...A few other little touches I added were Diamond glaze on the leaves, prima flowers with stickles in the centers and a cherry on top of the cupcake using some random punches and stickles. The inside sentiment stamp is from a SU set called 'A little Birdie' , and the Happy Birthday stamp is by PSX.

New Home Card

Hello All! I made this card for my DS who just moved into his very first beautiful apartment all of his own! I had a lot of fun creating this card! First off I selected the background paper which is by SU ...then went with the cheery bright orange CS to match the outline of the house...next I punched 2 circles for the sun...and used my SU paper piecing punch ( which I had started to wonder why I had wanted it ...lol ) to punch the sun's rays. I went back later after I had adhered the sun to the card and added the faux stitching... I LOVE the way the sun turned out!

Next I stamped the Unity Tree onto the DSP next to the house and then again onto another sheet of matching SU DSP and paper pieced it onto the card...then I adhered the cute DCWV Chipboard beaver to the card...Lastly I stamped the Ippity "Where you should be.."saying onto an A2 panel, colored it in and adhered it into the inside of the card.

I am very happy with the way this card turned out...I don't usually do a lot of paper piecing and it was a lot of fun!

Hello All! I made this note card for my DD. We have 2 pugs. A male and a female which we bred for a while...They are fantastic dogs with very loving temperaments! The Supplies I used for this card are: Branch out by stampin up (tree , leaves, butterflies) Pug by Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Pebbles Glitter chalks and stickles on the butterflies ( I put the stickles on after I took the picture...so the butterflies were actually pink ) . Oh! and a pop dot for the pug!

Card For My Grandpa

Hello All! I made this card for my Grandpa who is not doing so well...he spent one week in the hospital already and is going to have surgery in 2-3 weeks as soon as he gets a little stronger.
The supplies I used for this card are: Stampin' up!'s "Nobel Deer" and a sentiment from "Under the weather" that I used on the inside. I also used my SU word window punch, and a scalloped rectangle punch that I have to create the 'Thinking of you' label on the front...10/31/10 UPDATE ON MY GRANDPA: He has had his surgery and is doing very well!

Hello! Or should I say Bon Jour! I made this card for my sister...and she said she really liked it a lot. ( Which of course made my day! ) The stamps I used were "Carte Postale" by Stampin' Up! for the bird which is cut out and placed onto the card with a pop dot & "Le Tour Eiffel" by Inkadinkado. I colored the banner with a very light pink and then coated with stickles. The larger background DSP is from the "Old World Stack" by DCWV....Not sure about the smaller piece!

I didn't get a picture of the inside of the card...but I did stamp the poodle from the SU set "Parlez - Vous Francais?" in the corner looking up at the sentiment .

I thought it was cute! lol!

This is the first card I made with my new ATG gun from Michaels...I can't believe how much easier it is to use than a glue stick! Hello! I made this card for my niece. I used Stampin Up's Asian Artistry, which has to be one of my favorite sets right now! It is so easy to make a very pretty card with it! I also used my watercolor crayons which was fun! I should use them more often...I really love the way they look! The DSP is from the 'Far East Mat stack" by DCWV . Hello again! Made this little note card for my sister with my new "Memory Box" comfy chair stamp...I LOVE this stamp! It is so perfect for paper piecing!
I simply stamped the chair on the front of my card, then again on some textured paper I have been hanging on to...I cut out the second chair and attached over the chair I had first stamped on the front of my card ...
I then stamped the cup portion of the stamp on a separate piece of DSP and cut out then attached in the same way. Added a little SU double stitched ribbon to the side after stamping the sentiment in the corner..and finished!

Hello! Welcome to my blog! This card was made for my DS's birthday who is in the Navy. For this card I used my Nature's Silhouettes stamp set by Stampin' up! . I stamped the buck and tree, then sponged on black ink at the bottom and sides to create the hill. Next I sponged on the sea and sky. Lastly I clear embossed over the sea to give it a glossy shine. This card reminds me of one of my favorite places to go where it is very steep, and you can see the Ocean for miles and miles around!

Howdy! I made this card for my sister ( I have 3 sisters lol! ) because this stamp reminds me of her style...This was a very quick card to make using this wonderful image! I only used 2 stamps on this card...Leonardo woman by 'Stamp Out Cute' and a giant postmark by 'Ma Vinci' ! The background card stock is from DCWV 'Once upon a Time' mat stack ..I truly love that mat stack!!! Gorgeous papers!!! Once again, I felt as though maybe this card needed something more...but on second thoughts...I really liked the collage being the main focal point and decided 'not to go there'! lol!

Hello! I made this card for my mom...~
For this card I started with an A2 sized piece of glossy card stock. I first stamped the Indian man, and then masked him and stamped the mountains. I then made a mask and sponged on ink to make the sunset. I made a mask for the man and a reverse mask for the mountains and sponged on the desert floor. I then colored the man, and lastly added the Bible verse. I wondered if this card was too plain, but decided that I actually liked the vast open feeling of it combined with the Bible verse...The stamps I used are:

Cabin in the Woods

Inside Message:

I made this card for my DH's birthday. First I stamped the cabin and trees in the middle of my CS. Then I stamped the trees in the foreground with 2 different shades of green. Next I swiped a few different colored ink pads in the area I wanted to create a lake. Next I masked off the cabin and tree line as best I could and tore a piece of scrap paper to create my mountains...After that I used sponges to color the sky and make the trees in the foreground appear more dense. To make the lake appear glossy I clear embossed it. I wanted it to look as though the snow was starting to melt , so I colored some spots with green chalk pencils...The last thing I did was to add some texture to the 'snow' using a white paint pen. I had a lot of fun creating this card! I loved just 'going for it' and trying some new things! I really hope you've enjoyed my card!

Coronado Island Orca Card #2

I Stamped this card for my sister the same day I did the previous Orca card for my son...I used the last remaining scrap of my favorite Tahiti Stack DSP!

I used regular white card stock ( GP) for this card rather than the glossy to see what difference it would make...The glossy doesn't soak up the ink as fast as the regular card stock, which is good and bad...I found that each time I got it the way I liked ( On the glossy) , the ink would 'move' on me...The regular card stock has it's pros's and Con's as well...for just the opposite reasons. lol!

All in all, I am delighted with the way each card turned out!

I really hope they both liked their cards 'HMBM' lol!

Coronado Island Orcas

As I was going through my stamps I came across this beautiful rubber stamp I had purchased a (long) while ago to make cards for my son who loves Orcas.

I thought...what am I waiting for?? And pulled it out of the drawer! For this card I used glossy paper and sponged inks on with makeup sponges...The patterned paper is the same Tahiti stack I've been using on a lot of my other cards lately...I was sad that there was only one piece of this design ..I think it's my favorite in the whole stack!!

The stamps at the bottom are all by Toyboxart with the exception of one which is by Stampa Rosa...Hope you liked my card!

Valentine's day cards for family and friends.

I've been dying to use my new ODB 1 Corinthians 'Love" stamp, and I figured what better time than Valentine's day!

I just love how the stamped verse fits right inside the top note die cut! I handwrote 1 John 4:10 in each card :

"This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

1 John 4 :10

and I added 1 John 4:8 to a few as well.."God is Love."

Well..it's official..I can not make a card for my DD without using self adhesive "Diamonds"! lol! For this note card I used stamps from OnyxXpressions ( Cat Kanji ) , Time to stamp ( Cat) , Stampin' up! 'C is for cat' ( paw prints) and Stampin' Up! 's 'Cool Cat' (sentiment) Black puff embossing powder, and a corner notch punch. It was very quick and easy! I am pleased with the way it turned out!

I made this card to congratulate my son Steven on getting a new job ! He is a baker, ..but just got a new job in a deli ,which he has done before, and is verrrry good at! For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s 'Mix and Mingle', and 'Comfort Food' stamp sets, DCWV Tahiti mat stack and DCWV Old world mat stack. The small coffee grinder stamp was part of a larger stamp by 'Stampourri' and the congrats stamp is by an unknown maker...

Inchie Hearts

I made this card for my DD's friend who is also in the Navy ...I think it looks a lot better in person..I hope she likes it!

I am really getting addicted to making these patterned paper Inchie cards...so I thought I would try some hearts this time!

I basically punched hearts from some of my favorite patterned papers, then punched some more hearts out of a cereal box...glued the paper hearts to the box hearts and attached to the card front...I kept it simple again and simply stamped her initial and stuck on another "diamond"! lol!

Well..That's my Inchie card!

Hawaiian Coffee!!

Inside:

I made this card to say "Thank You!" to my parents for bringing us some Hawaiian coffee from their recent trip to Hawaii! YUMMY! Macadamia nut with chocolate & Macadamia nut with cream! Sooo delish!!
For this card I used 'Espressoly for you' by Stampin' up! , a couple of prima flowers held on with a yellow brad, DCWV sticky ribbon, SU Kraft Cardstock, and DCWV Tahiti mat stack... Not quiet what I started out to do...but ...overall...I am happy!

Mal's Card

This card was for my DD's Birthday...It was fun to do and I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out...For this card I used ...DCWV "The Far East " mat stack, Stampin up " Fabulous Flowers, embossed with white EP onto Pink papers, then cut out...The sentiment is from SU's "Send a celebration", and the double stitched ribbon is also Stampin Up... I think the 3 little "diamonds " add a lot to the card...seems like I've been using them a lot lately ...

Cute Little stinker

I made this card for my sister to say "Thank You!" for some Chocolate covered cherries she got for me..They were really delish and I think it was really sweet of her to get them for me!
For this card I used Stampin Up's Stinkin cute stamp set, a prima flower with a stem I cut using a cuttlebug "poppies" die and the thank you stamp is also SU "Much appreciated".

Masculine French Card

I made this card with a CTMH Acrylic stamp set " French Patio". The background city scape is from a "Fran the Frantic Stamper" plate, and the stone pavement is by "Cherry Pie". I stamped the images, and then sponged ink on...I tore a strip from a French newspaper and sponged more ink on it and used it as a background piece...The sentiment is by Stampin Up! ( Carte Postale) and the card stock is DCWV Old World stack...I sewed the button on to keep it in place through the mail.. :D

Inchie Patterned Paper 'Thank You' Card

I made this 'Inchie' card for my DD with 1" squares of patterned papers from the beautiful paper stack ( "My Mind's Eye" ) that she got for me for my birthday!

I just LOVE these pretty papers! I planned on attaching buttons, charms and bit's of ric rac to a few of the squares but after stamping the "M" and attaching a small "diamond" I felt it was 'enough'! Besides...I really wanted the papers to stand out ... Hope you liked my card!

Rooster "Thank You" Card

This is a Thank you card I made using the stamp set from Stampin' up! "Rustic Rooster".
I used watercolor pencils on the main image and blended with a watercolor blender pen...then I sponged yellow and art print brown inks around the rest of the image. I also used swirls A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder on the red card stock for the background layer. Hope you've enjoyed my card!

Christmas Time Is Here....

I Think it's safe to post this years Christmas cards. Most should be at their destinations by now!

I tried to keep it simple this year. Originally, I stamped each image in black and was going to color each one but quickly changed my mind when coloring just one or two took forever! lol! The most time consuming part of this card was cutting out each dove, and it really wasn't too bad!

I didn't have the right stamp for the inside message, so I hand wrote "God became flesh and Made His dwelling among us." with reference to John 1:1 & 14 in each card. I am overall pleased with the way they turned out...

I made this card for my sister , who loves 'Octopi'! It was a fun card to make! I used the Octopus from SU 'Fishy friends', the die cut shells were a RAK, and the die cut 'sea weed' is SU too. I love how the stickles look on the octopus!
